Driven by the vision to offer unparalleled design freedom, this was an internal R&D and design project initiated to push the creative and technical limits of our solid surface material. The goal was to prove that bathtubs can transcend mere function and become signature art objects within a space.

The Challenge

Translating a delicate, organic, and asymmetrical form—inspired by the natural curves of a lotus leaf—into a structurally sound, comfortable, and manufacturable bathtub. The main hurdles included ensuring consistent wall thickness for the dramatic, undulating rim, achieving a seamless flow from the complex lip into the ergonomic interior bathtub, and guaranteeing the stability of the freestanding form.

Our Solution

Our design and engineering teams collaborated closely, utilizing advanced 3D modeling and prototyping. We developed a proprietary multi-stage molding process specifically for this organic shape. The solid surface material was chosen for its thermoformability, allowing us to create the smooth, continuous curves. Each bathtub is then meticulously hand-finished to perfection, emphasizing the soft, tactile quality of the matte surface and the precise definition of every wave
